Sorry that this isn't in chronological order, the one I drew for chapter 10 had a problem uploading.
Anyway, this is a drawing of their father, Carlos, hiding in a hidden compartment in his walk-in closet. This all happens right in front of Carla, Sandi, Yolanda, and Sofia's eyes. The girls are taught to not reveal too much information to the police.
How do you think the girls felt watching their father hide? Based on this, do you think that their move to America was the best choice for the family?
I think the girls must have felt scared to watch their father hide. They were very young and did not know what was going on.
ReplyDeleteIt would teach them not to trust the police.
For the family's safety, moving to America as probably a good choice. Otherwise, their father could have eventually been captured like many of their uncles had been.
In a way i think it was a good idea and in another i dont think it was a good idea to have the family move to America. I think this because I think that one of the girls would end up spilling a little too much information to the police. In the other hand I think it was a good idea for their father to see how life was like in America.
ReplyDeleteI think that this made the girls feel that they shouldn't tell everyone everything because sometimes, you have to break the rules a little bit to get something done. It is good that they moved to America so they could of gotten more freedom, but they still had to watch what they did.

I think it the girls felt weird watching their father hide because they were young and that also showed them that they shouldn't always trust the police all the time.
ReplyDeleteThem moving to America was a good choice because they did have more freedom, but they also did have to watch what thy did so that nothing happened to their father.
